FAQ and Policies

How much does it cost to play?

The cost is $26.99 per person for your first game. If you’re up to the task and want to play another experience we offer a 40% off discount for any players playing a second game the same calendar day as the first game was scheduled. Additionally, we do offer group discounts as well call to inquire.

Are reservations required?

Pandemic (Current) Policy:

YES! Reservations are required. Due to fluctuating hours during the current health crisis you MUST book in advance as changing hours of operation or insufficient staffing levels may make it impossible to accommodate walk-in customers.

Regular Policy:

Reservations are not required but strongly recommended. We are a reservation-based business and we recommend that you log onto our website and click the ‘Book Now’ button or call for assistance. Walk-ins will likely be turned away due to lack of availability as time slots may not be available upon arrival.

What are the difficulty levels of the games as well as physical requirements?

Our games are designed to be challenging and fewer than 3 in 5 groups escape. To determine which are the easiest or most difficult please click the ‘Book Now’ button to view themes and their difficulty levels.
Some of our themes may require participants to complete parts of the game by crawling or kneeling down on their knees. If you have physical limitations please contact us before booking. Or, let your Game Master know when you arrive prior to entering any of our four immersive experiences.

Can you provide me with information on Corporate Events?

Panic Escape Room Games is great for corporate team-building events! An escape game teaches people to communicate on a level not found in a traditional office environment. The standard price is $26.99 but can vary depending on the number of guests as we do offer discounts and group rates. We offer group packages that include a conference room/party room (Hoffman Estates Location Only) Make sure you book directly through us by phone, that way we can ensure that your team will have a private event. What happens if some members of my party arrive late?

IMPORTANT – If your party has booked the entire experience then the members of your party, who are arriving late, will be escorted to the game that has already started. But the game starts on said time in order to avoid running into the following booking.

What time should I arrive? – What happens If I’m late?

You must arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your start time. Safety rules and game objectives need to be conveyed and that can take several minutes. Much like a movie, the show will go on with or without you. If you are part of a larger group you will be entered into the game up to 5 minutes after its start but after that you may not be allowed to join the experience while in progress. Our goal is not to upset the flow of the game for those participants who arrived on time.

Can I reschedule?

We understand that life happens and that something could possibly prevent you from keeping your scheduled appointment. If you cannot make your scheduled appointment and request a change inside of 24 hours, we can only reschedule your appointment to another date and time of your choice providing it is NOT the same calendar day unless scheduling permits. After the first rescheduling, no refunds will be given. Please reference the ‘Booking’ change button at the bottom of your confirmation email.

Do you serve food/booze and beverages?

Unfortunately, we do not. However, there are some great restaurants within 1-2 miles of our location. We do offer you the option of catering in as we have a conference room and break room that double as party rooms. Since now the laws have changed and you can also cater food and alcohol from just about anywhere. Call to discuss these and other amenities that we offer our guests who book an entire experience.

How many people can participate in a game?

Occupancy varies by theme. Generally, game participation levels range between 8-12. Please view the ‘Escape Games’ page to see themes and maximum occupancy levels. Important note: a minimum of two players is required for most games but some games require a minimum of 4 per game based on themes and individual players will not be permitted to enter into a game unless there is at least one other participant.

Do you offer Private experiences?

Pandemic Policy: We will gladly give you a private experience if you call to book. This policy will stay in effect until the current health crisis has passed. We want you to know that we take your health, safety and privacy very seriously at Panic Escape Room.

 

Normal Policy:

Our goal is to fill every spot in a scheduled game so that the experience is fully captured. Sometimes you may not have that many people in your group, but no worries as long as 60% of the available tickets for that experience are purchased at regular price there will be no additional charge to make it private.
If you purchased a coupon from a third party source or already have a discount applied to your booking and do not occupy 80% of the room a $10 per vacant seat will be applied in order to make that experience private.

Do you issue refunds?

We will be happy to issue you a game credit as long as you provide us with a 24-hour notice of cancellation. But we do not offer refunds. If you are unable to keep your scheduled reservation and don’t provide us with a 24 hour notice we will happily reschedule your game to a date/time of your choice, but a $25 service fee will be applied. Call if you have questions about this policy.

For those groups that have up to 3 participants not show up, but the scheduled game is still played, as a courtesy, we will gladly provide you with game credits to use at a later date. However, if an individual or company books multiple games and a whole game is cancelled due to a large amount of no-shows, we cannot provide game credits unless provided with a 24-hour notice. This is due to the need to add additional staff members to our schedule to cover the schedule games. Additionally, we would be unable to offer your cancelled time slot to other interested persons, groups or parties.

We appreciate the advanced notice when whole games are vacated as there are many other itching at a chance to play!

What happens if we have trouble solving puzzles during game play?

During your game, you can ask for up to 3 Clues from your Game Master, who is monitoring your game closely, but don’t “PANIC” if you get stuck our team is trained to get you out of any situation!

When can I schedule an Escape Game?

Right now! Book online or call us directly! Panic Escape Room Games is open 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

To book your movie like escape experience simply click the ‘Book Now’ button and select your theme; the rest is self-explanatory. Should you have any issues booking please call and we will assist. We highly discourage walk ins as you may not be guaranteed an available game when you do so check online, book or call ahead!

Games must be booked at least 1 hour in advance online; some exceptions can be made by calling us first. We require you arrive 15 minutes prior to your booking time to fill out our waiver and to ensure you get the full one-hour experience.

Are there any age restrictions/requirements?

Anyone can play, but understand that some of our themes have adult content and adult themes and may not be suitable for all audiences. it’s a case by case basis, but hey I bought my kid Grand Theft Auto at 7 years old and he turned out ok……I think lol
